Executive Functioning Games are a great way to encourage skill development! Great for use in groups or individually. Well-developed executive functioning skills are necessary for students to successfully complete tasks in their daily lives.
Specific types of executive functioning skills addressed include working memory, flexibility, attention, prioritizing, time management, organization, and self-control.
Purpose of the Game: Improve a student’s executive functioning skills. The student’s goal is to move their token from the “Start†to “Finish†point on the game board. The student will answer the question cards. The student will punch a hole on their “Passport Card†if they answer the question card correctly.

The student will answer “Space Invader†question cards. The student will also collect alien cards if they answer the question card correctly.
Directions For Activity: This activity can be a single person activity or completed in a group. The student is to listen to the adult read the “About Your Rainforest Assignment†to learn about the Amazon work experience. If playing in a group, the students will take turns picking a card. Each card focuses on an area of executive functioning. The students will do their best to answer each question.
