INSTRUCTIONS: Collect 6 shapes. Hint: Use parquetry shapes! Place shapes in a brown paper bag. The child must reach into the bag with only his/her hand and fingers to locate a shape. No peeking! The child draws the shape they feel. Continue this process for each shape until the bag is empty.

To Play: (1) Scan the first QR code with the camera app on your device. (2) Open the Camera app with camera forward facing. Hold the device so that the QR code appears in the viewfinder. Your device will recognize the QR code and show a link/notification. (3) Tap the notification to open the link associated with this first QR code. Once you tap the link in the pop-up window, you will be redirected to the link immediately. This will open as an audio file. Click play. (4) Listen to the sound. What winter sound is it? (5) Write down your guess. (6) Repeat steps 2-5 for all remaining sounds.
HOW TO PLAY: One at a time, select a Monster Direction card. The children are to assume the action depicted on the card. After a duration of time (as determined by adult), the adult yells “Freezeâ€. The children are to assume that position. Select the next card. Repeat steps 2-5.
Print game card. Laminate for durability. Print and use the accompanying “Position Picture Cardsâ€; these provide a larger view of the posture the child is to assume. Child rolls the die. With the adult’s assistance as needed, the child is to assume the position depicted on the game card.
Select a card and complete that body movement.
